Gotcha Day is the twenty-fifth episode of the first season of Jessie. It first aired on August 24, 2012 to 4.44 million viewers.
Plot
The Ross family puts Jessie in charge of decorations for Zuri's "Gotcha Day", the anniversary of her adoption. She wants to make it special and be creative, so she plans an African-themed party, however, she realizes this is a mistake and tries to fix it with unicorns and zebras. Meanwhile, Luke and Ravi tell the stories of when they were adopted. However, Jessie accidentally tells Ravi a secret that the family has been keeping from him, which is that Christina and Morgan were expecting to adopt a baby when they adopted Ravi. Hearing this, Ravi asked Emma and Luke if what Jessie was saying was true as they whistle in an attempt to deny it. Realizing the truth, Ravi gets upset while Jessie tried to comfort him and apologizes for getting him upset. When Christina and Morgan show up at home, Ravi confronts them about keeping this secret from him and goes to his room upset, even though they tried to get him to come back in order to explain everything. Christina and Morgan get mad at Jessie for revealing this secret, but they forgive her when they realize that she didn't mean to tell Ravi and was possibly explained as to what happened with their older kids help. After resolving things with Jessie, Christina and Morgan with the gang, except Zuri and Bertram, went to talk with Ravi as they explain everything to him and apologize for not telling him the truth right away. Hearing the truth and his importance to the family, Ravi forgives his family. In the end, everyone celebrates Zuri's gotcha day.
